Sewing To-Make Projects & Some Link Lovin'

A gardening apron - directions/tutorial from DesignSponge.

An awesome reversible bag WITH ADJUSTABLE STRAPS. Who doesn't love adjustable straps?

Crochet baby blanket made with modern colors (note: nothing about it says baby - which is totally my cup 'o tea).

DIY Roman Shades (it says no-sew, but man, I will be using my sewing machine, I don't exactly trust TAPE holding up shades while I'm peeing).

A door mat from Martha Stewart (wooden and I'm going to paint the slats a different color so it's nice and cheery. And hopefully won't attract gross bugs to live under it like the jute one I have now).

So friends, anyone want to be crafty with me this summer?

I'll be making a quilt. I also hope to possibly make valences, a pillow to match the quilt. Oh and MAYBE a dog bed :)

Thanks for the link! I'm a huge fan of non-baby colors for my knitting / crocheting.

A dog bed! I really need to make a new dog bed too - I guess I can add that to my to-do list!

I'm going to put it in the nursery :) The dogs could actually use another one besides that one, since the cats steal their beds but ah well. They don't seem to mind the couch too much :)

We have one in almost every room - but I need to make one for the bedroom. Poor dog has a stack of pillows and a blanket on top for his bed. The hard part is finding fabric to match!

Poor Rusty! Though Boots (and now Bella) always found a comforter on the floor the perfect sleeping spot. I hope you can find something to coordinate. That is definitely the hardest part. My sister used sheets to make a quilt once because she couldn't find one she liked, so that's an idea :)

That's a great idea! I'm sure you'll see some pins today on Pinterest for a dog bed.
